I don't think it has much to do with generation, Westy. Maybe it could be ambition? Some have it, some don't. My BIL was always happy with his "three hots and a cot". It didn't matter if anyone else was.
Maybe Al should have never put everything we owned on the line in his mid forties, and started his own business. Do you know what that's like? It could have gone either way. Yes, we were lucky and I'm not going to apologize for it.
Some people just bet on the lottery and hope.
