Maybe they are all out Christmas shopping, heh! I know I
should be. Thanks for the welcomes, I look forward to getting to know some more FReepers better, and
occasional serious discussion sounds just about right to me. It's nice to take a break from the news threads sometimes.

(It's my right to publically celebrate Christmas and state my faith in Christ. At least for now.....)

Admittedly, Sundays are slow days in thread,
Speeds up later on when everyone gets back from their various errands.
And again, welcome.

I sometimes watch the women's Lifetime channel movies while doing chores on the weekend. Yesterday, I was looking forward to several Christmas ones. My word, every one of them had a political theme running through...save the whales or Santa not making violent toys...blah, blah, blah. The most blatant one was this one about a Vietnam vet whose son had died in Desert Shield. He picked up a hitchhiker and brought him home for Christmas Eve and it turned out to be his son in spirit. It was pretty interesting until the son started spouting about how wars were useless and wrong. The new Dolly Parton one was not political...just a bust. LOL
I'm going to dig out my Walton Christmas movie today.
