In general, yes, although I think it really depends on where you stay, length of stay, number of people in your party, etc. That whole area is very nice but I haven't been to The Canyons. However, I understand the lift lines move faster there. While all have some wonderful accomodations, if I'm staying in a house I tend to prefer Deer Valley, again depending on the location. For hotels it is really hard to beat the superb service at Stein Erikson Lodge which is actually in Park City, its also ski in/ski out. Also, Lodges at Deer Valley has a nice mix of cozy, well appointed hotel rooms and some nice condos but it isn't a ski in/ski out property. If you're staying longer than 3 or 4 nights, Park City has a nice variety of things to do when you need a breather from the slopes, they have a very good nightlife, too. Mind you, I'm not an especially good skier but I try hard. LOL. So the close proximity of other things to do is appealing to me. :) I suppose I'd get better if I tried more often but then how many ski instructors can one woman drive crazy in a lifetime ? FOFL... Besides, I don't really enjoy cold, snowy weather except in short doses. LOL
