But, he hasn't been unpatriotic until his son was deployed to Iraq. When we visited for his daughter's wedding, I noticed that he had taken down his flag from the pole and was just flying an Army one I don't know your brother ... but I think alot might have to do with the danger of war and a possibility of losing a child
I can understand that fear .. I would have the same kind of fear ... but what scares me more is what could happen if we did nothing and let the terrorists take over

I know, Mo. But, what scares me the most is that he is essentially telling his son that he might lose his life in vain. DJ, my nephew, is such a nice young man who reenlisted in the Guard, even after the war in Iraq started. He tried to tell his Dad that he was just doing his job, but my brother cannot be reconciled to that, and blames Bush. I had to laugh when I heard Sgt DJ tell his dad that President Bush gave him the biggest pay raise that he had ever received and that he was the boss.
