I don't have a link, but just read on ESPN that it was the Gator Bowl against Clemson, the player was Charlie Bauman who was quoted as saying that Hayes actually called him several weeks later, didn't apologize or mention the incident, but asked what defense they were in when he intercepted the pass....LOL!
