Morning all........... I'm heading out shortly for a stupid mammogram.........follow up to the procedure last year - just one side this time - yuk!
They rescheduled it for the "main campus" of my clinic which is up near downtown Houston.......... fortunately my husband is going to take me!

I've had those follow-ups. I hate mammos. I hate them. They always screw up on me because I'm panting when I'm in pain, and they say, "Hold your breath." Like there's any breath to hold. So they have to do them over.
There's no reason why a new test hasn't been found that is not as painful.

Good luck! I did that last month. Same thing. I had been walking around under a cloud for 6 months because they "didn't like what they saw, but it wasn't urgent." I hope you have a good result, my "spot" was just a bad image.
Yeah, I love the old "Hold really still while we clamp this into an ice cold vice and mash it into shapes not found in nature."

Interesting article on why we hate hospital gowns...from someone who just doesn't get it.
woman's clothes are her markers of individual identity; removing them effectively communicates the message that she is no longer autonomous, but dependent on the institution. Like the identical uniforms of Marine basic trainees, the hospital gown indicates the woman's liminal status:
