What's "roshky"?
Well, I actually just googled it to see what the rest of the world thinks, and the rest of the world thinks they are what my Grandma just called "poppyseed rolls". The things I'm making this weekend (called roshky on the top of the recipe that my mom typed for my grandma....) are these tiny little nut rolls on a very very flaky pastry. The pastry is mostly butter, eggs, flour.....folded over and over, refrigerated, rolled, folded, refrigerated, etc. etc. until I finally cut out 2 inch squares, fill them with walnut filling, and roll them up. Takes me all day. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when done.
