The fact that you have tossed it out reflects the realization that what you have seen and heard wasn't really true music after all.
Pop in a Vivaldi CD some morning, crank up the volume with a couple of espressos and you might be surprised what you get done that day.
you hit the nail on the head. I use to listen to "Born in the USA" again and again and again. Whenever I heard that song I use to feel so much pride. I use to think any man who would sing a song like that with that kind of emotion knew the value of having srong leaders like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Now this year, to find out what he really feels and to find out that he's just another left wing radical filled with hate. I can never listen to "Born in the USA" again and feel the way I use to. I hope the boss is happy with what he did. I'm sure I'm not the only one this year to learn that his music was all full of crap.
< Rolls eyes> Don't go there. There is no such thing as "bad music," just music you don't particularly like. There were people who thought Vivaldi was a purveyor of pap, too.
I love Vivaldi (The Summer movement of the Four Seasons is my most favorite piece of music in the world), but I sure liked Born to Run a lot...
But mostly, I listen to a weird combination of Celtic music, Bluegrass, classical (particularly Baroque), and '80s technopop.
It's all good.
