Love the Kilauea photos - it's really been a treat the past 10 years. Of course when the trades die and humidity increases we're treated to vog, which apparently was pretty high yesterday. My eyes don't like the stuff any more than they did California's smog.

We've been living with an active volcano for nearly twenty years by now. If we listened to the "it's not if but when" doomsday prophets, we'd all shoot ourselves long ago. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc., is all part of life. At least we don't have to deal with terrorists, thanks to President Bush.

I always enjoy the volcano updates, as well as the others you include. Both times I went to Hawaii, the Big Island and the Volcano National park was my favorite site.
