Indeed, YES! I do not think it a coincidence that the Battle of Fallujah is commencing now, less than one week after the election. If it had gone on earlier, it would have been considered a political ploy.

Mr. rtw and son came home around 7 last night and told me they saw the aurora borealis, but I was busy doing something at the time, and then forgot to look for them later. :-(
But, I think the N. lights may be back tonight and tomorrow night.

Woke up to a little white stuff on the deck today. Our Maine Coon cat (the mighty hunter) still insisted on going out in the yard for her morning rounds. She will continue to do this until we have some real snowbanks to contend with.

Good morning Molly! I have not slept for months as good as I have slept since Wednesday. I am FURIOUS about what happened in the Colorado State Legislature. For those that don't know, BOTH Colorado State Houses went from Rebublican control to control by the adolescent, stinking, filthy, lying, lawless demoCRAT. It's the first time SINCE 1960! Both of mine (state Rep. AND state Senator) went to the demoCRAT! In addition, to make matters worse in Colorado, as most of you know, we lost the retiring Republican Nighthorse Campbell's seat to the demoCRAT, which beat Pete Coors 52% to 47% :((.

As it turns out, the Republicans put almost ALL the funding on Coors and almost none on the state campaigns.

'mornin to y'all...

Guennie and kay... thanks for your kind compliments about my age. Beginning to feel it now.

Mr M... thanks for the story about your travels in China. I had heard a story somewhat similar in nature. Seems a US couple were visiting the area near the Great Wall. They were admiring an especially lovely lilac bush. A Chinese couple came alongside them and began to converse in English, also admiring the beauty of the tree. One thing led to another and they discovered they had a mutual bond... their bond in Christ.

The US couple said how encouraging it was to hear that the Chinese government acknowledges there are about 50 million Chinese who are Christians. The Chinese gentleman said stoically... "they lie". "Oh" was the response. "Yes", said the Chinaman, "the total should be closer to 500 million than 50 million".

My granddaughter spent part of this past summer in China but did not have an opportunity to get to inland China. I also have a friend who lives in VA but works with Chinese pastors.

Here is one more new column in my series on the 2004 election. This column addresses the registration and vote turn out problems the Democrats created for themselves.

I also address a couple of theories about how the exit polls could have been wrong. I also was struck by what Karl Rove told Fox news about the exit polls. I am not sure why Karl said what he said.. but it seemed to me he certainly was sending a message to someone...

I know how you feel about your state legislature! Living in Oregon, we feel the burden of the liberals in Salem. Hoping that 2006 brings changes in Colorado.

I am off to my volunteer jobs in a few minutes - just wanted to pass a chuckle on to you all. News from the "dark side": Liberal talk radio has a campaign going on to have ALL THE VOTES counted before the electoral college meets so that Kerry will be in the White House and Bush will be sent back to Crawford. Their mantra? WE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION LIKE THEY DID IN 2000!

Their behavior reminds me of that sKerry campaign commercial - you know, the one where the ostrich has its head stuck in the ground.

That's a real shame 2/3's. We lived in CO for 8 years. Sometimes state campaigns make the most short-sighted decisions it seems.

We'd love to consider moving back to the CO Springs area. Will be watching to see what happens in CO. May have to stick with KS if RAT infestation continues there.

There is one thing to consider. If you did move to Colorado, it would mean that many votes for US to take our legislature back! ;-)

I am going to start working on 2006 NOW; we are also going to have to work VERY hard to keep the CRAT! CRAT! demoCRAT! from STEALING Senator Wayne Allard's seat and putting in another stinking, rotten x042 demoCRAT.

Something popped out at me in an earlier post:

It appears the state party sunk all their money into the Coors race and left the State House types to raise their own funds.

Heads should roll at Colorado Party Headquarters. I'm sure the Senatorial Reelection Campaign office was focusing on the Dashole/Thune race, but they should have been helping Coors, and left the state party to oversee the State House races.

I think you have it right. I heard that there were 4 millionaire demoCRATs that pumped big money into the state demoCRAT races. I really don't think Coors had a chance because of the demoCRAT attacks against him. One of the major lies the demoCRAT foisted, one in which Coors actively worked to prove false, was lowering the drinking age to 18. Too many sheeple swallowed that one. It was analogous to the draft lie the demoCRAT attacked the President with.

Latest on Operation Phantom Fury--the effort to take Fallujah, from Fox News:

KIA = 2 marines, 10 Iraqi, 42 insurgents.

US and Allied forces have pushed into the NW portion of the city, capturing the hospital and a major apartment complex.

Intelligence-Estimated Order of Battle:

Allied = 4,000 US troops (army + marine) and 6,000 Iraqi
Insurgent = 3,000

Bush was right (of course, we knew he was)...

Extremists moving into Iraq

ANKARA, Turkey — Islamic extremists have been moving supplies and new recruits from Iran into Iraq, say Iraqi Kurdish and Western officials, though it's unclear whether Tehran is covertly backing them or whether militants are simply taking advantage of the porous border.
