Jeff Greenfield on Imus this morning

Posted on 11/04/2004 1:03:03 PM PST by waldorf

Did anybody hear Jeff Greenfield on Imus this morning? I don't usually watch MSNBC, but I wanted to watch Imus squirm a little after the dem's stunning defeat.

After talking about the "evangelicals" role in W's re-election, Imus smugly said to Jeff: "Remember, Jesus loves you." After laughing at this, Greenfield said something like: Jesus, isn't he the guy that delivers Mexican food in the neighborhood?

Did I hear this right? If so, this is why the democrats will remain a minorty party for a long time.

These liberals just don't realize how for out in Left field they are. C'mon over to the Right, folks. We'll de-program you...wait. Not worth the effort.

Actually I had Imus on for a bit and he called the Bush team (i.e. Condi, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft) Nazi's. He was talking about Colin Powell at the time. He almost called Bush one too. I turned him off - he's such an ASS!

In 1986, I remember reading a glowing article Greenfield had written about what a Utopia called "Massachusetts" and it's beloved benevolent governor, Michael Dukakis.

After going through a laundry list of how wonderful the government had made life there, he wrote this: "If this is socialism, socialism works."

That's all I need to know about Greenfield.

The dem's are the PIG'S in Orwell's Animal Farm. "Some of us are more equal than others." A Pox Upon Them All.

I didn't hear greenfiled, but I did hear a guy from newsweek and Imus opining on the election and Imus actually said that Kerry was 'a bigger phony than I thought' and that surprised me. Then they started talking about newsweeks issue this week and started ripping on teresa and her weird behavior. They said the Kerry campaign had to basically keep her 'out of circulation' for most of the campaign because she was hard to handle, and every time she gave a speech, it was more about her than the campaign. Imus supported Kerry and I think he feels like a fool about now.

It's little yapping dogs that make the most noise. Totally harmless and wimpy but loud.

Imus is a puke. No loyalty to anyone or anything, the only thing he values is celebrity.

I heard all of that..I tuned in to see if Imus was depressed, he's always depressed. I heard him call Cheney a criminal, etc...I think MSNBC should dump him...What are his ratings anyways?

I agree that he should be dumped -- MSNBC should also dump Ron Reagan. He's a disgrace to his own name.

Sooner or later, MSNBC drops everybody. Chris Matthews is the only talk show host that has survived over the years.
