Sorry folks, I don't think this is over

Posted on 11/03/2004 7:34:57 PM PST by Capitalism2003

I don't believe the dems will give us so easily. Kerry may have conceded, but it means NOTHING legally. His army of 20,000 lawyers did not evaporate. They are still in Ohio, and you can bet they will be doing everything possible to "find" kerry 130,000 out of those 200,000 provisional ballots. They will find a sympathetic liberal judge that orders all of them to be counted (rather than the 10-20% that are traditionally valid), and they may get the electors for Kerry. If this happens, the concession was irrelevant and Kerry will be President. I'm praying our side isn't getting complacent. The left wing activists are absolutely rabid now. They have everything invested in this election, financially and emotionally...and they won't be going quietly. I hope the Bush team isn't getting complacent. They need to keep up the fight until the electors finalize the election next month.

A ludicrous vanity from someone who didn't even vote to re-elect President Bush to begin with.

Judge Neapolitano on Fox commented today that the problem for Kerry regarding Provisional Ballots is that sometimes up to 90% of them get thrown out by the election judges as being unqualified to meet election standards.

It's over.

My money isn't on messing around with the vote; my money is on the impeachment the dem's are gonna bring against the President this term.

With only 203 Reps to our 232 and Tom DeLay as Majority Leader, that would not go far.

The Dems' wrists must be hurting now from frantically filling out absentee balots that will be "found" in a day or two.

(No doubt "stolen by the VRWC to disenfranchise minorty voters")

They need to put the brakes on...reform social security, drop taxes a little more, and make all tax relief permanent...no compromises with the left on ANYTHING. If they do that, 400,000 Libertarian voters will come home in 2006.

I think that's the agenda, although it is totally unrealistic to think that you don't have to make compromises with the opposition to accomplish your goals. Any serious student of the Constitution will understand that it was designed EXACTLY to make sure this happens.

Didn't I hear correctly that the first 30k went 2-to-1 for Bush?

I can't see them getting far with that move - Unless the Repubs. are as stupid as they were when the Socialist Democrats went after Nixon -

All people have to do is keep the major media in line - and counter any aid they may attempt to give the Demos. Plus the fake Repubs. need to be discredited as soon as can be achieved without hurting the whole party. I think one of them was already sent a message from the public - with how tight the race was even with all the other Repubs. being elected to replace Demos.

just my opinion - doesn't hurt to keep watch and cut them off way before they even get the ball rolling

If you have some experience in politics, you would know that the concessions today were real. They would not have made them if they intend to pursue this.

Supporters, and the MSM may try to delve into the results, but they won't get any support from the Kerry Campaign.

In fact, I would imagine that if it were to be attempted, the Kerry people would try to dissuade them from doing it.

There are many buried secrets in those ballots that would hurt more than help, and they would be despised for trying at this point.

Stinkin arrogant is understatement. He proclaimed himself the next veep. With odds that were slimmer than that of getting struck by lightning.

'it's not about the actual "impeachment",'

Betting on 'impeachment' IS about 'actual impeachment'. There is NO money being laid on what some crazy Dem says about impeachment. Will never make the calendar, that is a bettable proposition. I'm down on the 'never'.

Yes that did happen. I agree I don't think the Clinton's will allow it but just remember that is Teddy Kennedy's favorite.

Exactly... like the New Mexico 101% and 103% precinct voting with a 30k Bush lead... which suddenly dropped to 98%... with a mere 3k Bush lead, within 60 seconds. Screenshots abound, though they could always claim we altered the images.

I understand that a fair number of Military absentee Ballotts haven't yet been counted; they're running ~70+% for Bush. There is NO WAY Sen. Kerry could win this election.

America Has Decided--Decisively--"W" is our President for the next 4 years.

Period.

I certainly think we need to keep praying.

And, I think we need to hold the voter fraud to the legal system and demand redress in every case of any substance--else it will just get worse and it's awesomely bad already.

But I think Kerry and group will not pull too much between now and the official electoral college vote. He'd look super stupid for his speech.

I believe that the puppet masters pulled the plug on him or he realized for once, what reality was.

I'm actually praying that some of the voter fraud cases redressed and whatever other housekeeping chores turns up another state or three for Bush.

Well, this is a new one on me. To be in denial when you lose is sometimes expected, but to be in denial when you win is a singular anomoly. Keep us posted. We're still locked and loaded.

If there really are 200,000 votes Kerry would have to get around 170,000 to make up the differential if all were counted. My feeling is that the Kerry campaign knows it is such a long shot that they don't want to open up the pandora's box of provisional ballots. These ballots have to be proven legit so it could shed some real light on the fraud that went on in Ohio and might really backfire on them. Perhaps people might even look at PA and see more massive fraud. If they did push this though all they would have to do is get it close and go the re-count route again. I think you are right though that if it came to this the focus would be on the fact that so many of these were minority votes and therefore evil repubs were trying to steal their votes away by actually requiring them to follow the rules that everyone else has to follow.

If you really want to get scared check out CO and note that it is at 95% counted with almost all uncounted in Boulder which is a large county breaking 79/20 Kerry at this point. If you do the math it looks pretty damn close. Again, could trigger a re-count. Not really an issue if NV, NM, or IA hold and state came out to say won't make a difference in outcome but these last minute votes showing up especially in NM just makes me sick. I just wonder if anyone has ever seen these last minute votes come in for Republicans ? time and time again in NM, SD you will see 99% in and a sudden rush of Dem votes just appears to put the dem over the top by just enough votes.

I am sure the GOP has their own flying squad of legal beagles either en route or on station and will be working to make damn good and sure that this doesn't happen.

The warnings about Dem lawyer stunts were taken quite seriously and there is no doubt in my mind that they have war-gamed this scenario front to back.
