Around here we call it winter, but that's another story...
And yet another story is it's still dark out, and yet the proper greeting at the moment is...
Good Morning, Hobbit Hole!
Good morning! It's warm out - 43 at this time of the morning!
And I have to drop off my van for windshield replacement in a few minutes. I hope I'm right that they give you a courtesy car, or it's kind of a long walk...in the rain...along a busy highway with no decent shoulder in some places.
Guess I'll bring a book or notebook and plan on keeping myself occupied until I can get a ride, if it turns out they don't give me a car.
Mornin' X! breezing in to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone before the parents arrive and the madness of cooking begins. The twenty-pounder is defrosting and Im makin a list and checking it twice. Have had to wait until today to make my final tour of the grocery store...It ain't gonna be pretty! I dont look forward to it at all.
Winter? What's winter precious?
All joking aside, down here winter remains well above the freezing mark (often not even as low as into the 40's). It is highly predictale that it will likely freeze over only twice. Three times max. And when that happens it is chaos. That is when we get all the 30 car pile ups and whatnot.
