I have this car that I highly suspect is going to be broken beyond what it's worth. I don't owe anything on it...it's paid for. I can't sell it in this condition so I can buy a used car, even

I recently faced this dilemma with my wife's '02 buick.I had to replace the engine for $2600. It was worthless the way it was . Or buy a new car (with no trade in) for $26,000

It was painful but I replaced the engine.

Go to kbb.com and find out your cars current value as is and stick a for sale sign on it. With the proceeds you may be able to buy another car or at least put a down payment on one.

Just an idea.

It's a good idea (better than Rosie's...lol!)

I'll check it out.

$2000 (and that's being optimistic and saying it's in fair condition.)

Sigh.

I tell ya, I really don't know what's wrong with it. It won't shift out of first gear, the dome lights quit working, the clock and radio quit working, the beep it makes when you leave the keys in it quit working. The headlights work and the dash lights too, but the digital odometer doesn't show up.
