Plus a half a cup of raw almonds, a cup of frozen blueberries and several cups of black tea...(supposed to have 5 cups according to some study...I fit in what I can.)
An article that I read on FR from a study from the AMA said that blue berries were good for lowering bad cholesterol and raising good cholesterol. Even more effective that the prescription stuff. So eat lots of blue berries!
To HairOfTheDog:
Steve called last night, as a matter of fact he called several times. We kept getting cut off, both of us on cell phones.Anyway he was telling me what a great time he had. Many thanks to you your brother and husband and EVERYBODY here for caring so much about my son and his fellow soldiers, I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it.
I have been praying for his safe return for more than a year now and will spend at least another year in giving thanks that he is home safely and giving thanks to the special group of people at the Hobbit Hole who care so much..
I didn't go through all the posts to list everyone concerned in the address bar of this post because I am basically lazy but you all know who you are and you are very special to me and my family..
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Don't think I don't know where you've been...
Thank you Graybeard! It was a pleasure for all of us! They're a neat group of guys!
That should read giving thanks FOR the special group of people.
I read the same article...it's what got me started eating them! They weren't very specific on the amount, so I just eat a cup. (We had just picked and froze 14lbs of them!) I also read on the web somewhere about the almonds and the black tea, so that's why I eat them.
You know I lowered my cholesterol from 264 to 168 in a month's time doing this???
I can't tell you how pleased as punch I am that Steve is home. I know I speak for the entire Hole when I say we are so proud of him!!
It was a great deal of fun for us as well. A great group of guys they are.
Maybe that is my problem. Too many blueberries... My bad cholesterol is low, but my good cholesterol is too high, bumping my overall numbers up too high. hmmm...
