That sacrificing goats part was from the Novell Netware 3.11 troubleshooting manual. After restoring the server from tape, you had to sacrifice the goat with a virgin blade made from the motherboard of an original PC XT... at exactly the moment that the Novell Splash screen came up.

Timing was everything.

It's all much easier now. :-)

No wonder it never worked for me! I was trying to strangle the goat with a USB cable so I could avoid the blood.
