Hmm... interesting choice. One of the very few truly silence-able cartridges.

The "king" is .45ACP. Barely subsonic, as designed. Good power, but tends to make a loud SPLAT when it hits. H&K makes a nice .45 with suppressor for our Special Ops people.

Hey mister mag... yahsure... I'm a big fan of .45

I'm sitting here watching "Enemy at the Gates" on da hotel teevee... love this story. Vasily Zaitsev. Truly an amazing story. He was the Russian version of Carlos Hathcock, at least.

I read somewhere that the legend around Zaitsev was that in the battle for Stalingrad he made 242 kills while only ever consuming a total of only 243 rounds of ammunition.
