Mine has just admitted to herself that she's interested in him and hopes that it's not just wishful thinking that's leading her to think he's acting jealous.

I might actually have an ending instead of a chop-off point. Maybe.

But man...the last week or so's entries are awfully smarmy.

Smarmy's great... My writing keeps getting interrupted by baking. I was having kitchen-smells envy - a neighbor has been cooking since eight o'clock this morning - but now mine smells nice. Happy happy pecan pie...

By the way... you definitely have to "foil" the edge of the pie. I just realized I'd forgotten, and got there in time, but the edge was getting really brown.

Ooh! Thanks for reminding me! I forgot that last time, and I would have again!

Writing the closing entry now...woo-hoo! It's still kinda open-ended for a finish, but hey, it's a journal...life goes on.

OK, NOW it's finished! 50,549 words. I'm gonna print it!

But...didn't you finish on like the 16th the first year we did this? Heh...I was impressed and almost annoyed, too. I barely finished on time that year.

The 20th, I think... I might have managed that this year without the hard drive incident.

Ping to cooking types, not eating types... Ok! I am very proud of how this came out, I've never made a pie before!

It looks very lovely! Hope mine turns out as well...

Yeah, without the hard drive incident you would have beat me badly!

I'm just glad this is DONE so I can move on to other writing! And relax for a few days, too.

Good luck with yours! I can't believe how much sugar and stuff goes into it, no wonder Mom only makes it once a year.

I just hope Dad was successful in his quest for whipped cream...the bigger grocery store was out, if you'll believe that! Duh...they should know better. We could have whipped our own (Mom always just did that), but considering how late this is going to be anyway, we don't need any more hassles.

It's not fair! Here I am about as far north as you can be before hitting Quebec (Hit it! Hit it hard!), and we're getting rain. Ick.

That's just gorgeous... I hope you will also be coming home to more food than you could possibly eat! I already know you'll be with family who loves you.

Oh, I didn't get any whipped cream... I don't like the stuff... hope nobody else really loves it.

I saw that snow! Isn't that something!

My husband ecurbh is too shy to answer you about the Hooters thing (at least in view of his wife) .... I don't want to redeem it personally, but if you really don't know anyone who can use it, I can promise you that if you sent it here, I will stuff it into someone's stocking on your behalf so that Ramius, ecurbh and Scott can all go ;~D

Man...the things you don't like, girl!

I'd say whipped cream is necessary for pumpkin pie, but not really for pecan. So you're probably all right.

See, but that makes things easier! I just hand people the short list of things I do like... I like chocolate, I like meat, I like pecan pie...

Jen that is an absolutely beautiful pie!

I am in agony. I forget that I had Joshua in my old age and that wrestling with him is probably something I'm too old to do...I pulled all the muscles in my back and neck!! Can't bend over...can't turn my head!

LOL Oh well.
