haha! I think that may be me. :^D
I am sure that Marissa is quite angelic at times, and demonstrably a terror at others. In other words, normal.
Here's a clue. Give her more affection than she is prepared to receive, or seems comfortable with. You can tell her it comes from us, (it does!)
Then she'll leave you alone for a while.
I have always been disappointed with such stereograms. Yes, I can see the images, but they never convey much information.
I could see that it was an animal, but I had difficulty determining whether it was a lion or a bear.
Now real stereograms, like the ones great-grandmother viewed in her parlor, would have a lot of information. Are you aware that stereographic images of the moon, and local stars, have been made?
The moon wobbles enough in its movements that nearly 70 percent of its surface can be viewed from Earth at different times. Enough photographs have been taken that they can be matched up to give a stereographic image.
The moon then appears like a basketball held at arms length, in astonishing detail.
Local, or nearby stars and planets, when viewed from alternating parts of Earths orbit, increase the stereo imaging from the usual two to three inches to a whopping hundred and ninety-some million miles. Even astronomic distances are affected by that kind of multiplication factor!
Yes, from what I have seen, Marissa is wonderfully "normal". And we are going to have a great time with this wonderfully normal child in DC. :-)

Wow! That is very interesting.
The stereograms that I am finding on the internet are not all that good, not compared to the ones in the Magic Eye books that I have. I had wondered if it had something to do with the computer screen distorting them just enough so that they just don't have the impact of the ones in the books. But they are kind of fun to play with.
LOL! Yep, those 3D images can do a number on your eyes, for sure.
HUGS to you!
That is an actual stereogram as opposed to what I posted earlier, which I guess is just a 3D image, right? I really don't know all that much about this.
This one is a little different from the others I have found. The four Egyptian women become five.....
Thank you for the precious graphic and good wishes! I hope you had a wonderful Monday, too!
I'm stopping at this point!
Well, now I need to see if I can find some more out on the internet. This is a nice diversion from tuning into the campaign rhetoric which is becoming soooooooo monotonous! I just can't listen to any more of it.
it's beautiful! thank you so much for all you've done :o)
I didn't see a dolphin,
I didn't see a cow.
I only see a pattern,
I'm looking at it now.
There's nothing in picture,
That I can really see.
I won't look at another,
So don't show one to me.

Lions?

I'm looking at it now.

So don't show one to me.
Now you say there's lions there,
I do not see a one.
I guess my brain is broken,
This isn't very fun.

Read: 1 Kings 19:1-18
It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life! 1 Kings 19:4
Bible In One Year: Isaiah 56-58; 2 Thessalonians 2
Hopelessness and anger combined to bring death to a young man in my neighborhood. Someone had beaten him up for something he said. To retaliate, he came back with a gun. The police were called. When they arrived he ran, shooting at them. To protect everyone, they shot him. He lost his life at age 21. Later it was reported that he had told a family member that morning: "Today would be a good day to die." I wonder what brought him to such despair.
There was a day when the prophet Elijah felt hopeless and wanted to die. He had just experienced a great victory over the prophets of Baal, but now his life was being threatened by the king's wife Jezebel. In fear, he ran into the wilderness (1 Kings 19:4). There he "prayed that he might die, and said, 'It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life!'"
We may think that Elijah was overreacting, but hopeless feelings are real. He wisely went to the right source for helphe cried out to God. The Lord knew Elijah needed restoration, so He provided for his needs (vv.5-7). He revealed Himself to him (vv.9-13) and renewed Elijah's sense of purpose by giving him work to do (vv.15-17). God brought him hope by reminding him that he was not alone (v.18).
Look to God. He is your source of hope. Anne Cetas

Electricity Day
In Alabama we had "Yellow Mama".
LOL
How about antelopes? I saw antelopes so I think my brain is broken too. LOL
Good morning, CG. Hope your Tuesday morning has started off on the right foot.
Two broken brains on one thread!
According to OESY on post #11, yesterday was "Boost Your Brain Day". I guess neither of us got our brain boosted yesterday! LOL
