I believe Joe Louis used the he can run, but he can't hide line prior to his fight with Billy Conn in the 30s.

I bought their greatest hits album about a year ago and I love it. That song is one of the all time greats and I love to listen to it. Great Theme song for Bush vis a vi Kerry.

If you dig girl singers of the 60's check out a double CD package entitled " Leaders Of The Pack - The Very Best Of t\The 60's Girls " . Martha Reeves and the Vandellas ; Supremes ; Dusty Springfield ; The Chiffons ; Aretha ; Patysu Cline ; Petula Clark ; Mary Wells ; etc..etc...50 tracks in all .

You forgot Leslie Gore. She was great and is still performing ... mostly at Indian casinos. Who discovered her? Quincy Jones.
