My favorite moment is when Pres. Bush used the Catholic buzz words "Culture of Life".
The terms culture of life come from "the Gospel of Life" by Pope John Paul II.. it's a buzzword in Catholic circles..
But it applies to all people of good will. I'm sure there are Jewish phrases which apply to every one as well.

The wood issue was extremely funny I also liked the fact that on the going it alone issue, he wouldn't allow the moderator to shut him down. You go GWB
Kerry came across as being not only pompous, but as a big "know-it-all" talking down to the audience.
Seated between questions, as Bush was responding, Kerry looked so smug and smarmy.
With that pasted grin on his face, it was clear he was thinking "I am so superior to this guy Bush."
Yup....and W's response was superb.."you can't hide"..
I can't exactly pin point the exact moments that were my favourites.
But throughout the debate Dubya engaged. He appeared relaxed, but genuinely concerned for 'the little guy'. While Kerry thought it humorous to say he and the moderator would lose out under his tax cut - it made him look...well 'haughty', IMO to Joe Soap watching it.
President Bush showed humour (the 'wanna buy some wood' was brilliant, and with great timing). The President showed resolve, and determination - and gave FACTS as opposed to Kerry's undisclosed 'plans'.
When President Bush knocked Kerry all the time for his absence from the senate, or his voting record he was TOP DOLLAR!
And the crowd are shouting FOUR MORE YEARS behind the Kerry spin doctor who is now on the BBC! *LOL* Priceless.
Great moment.......when GWB said about Kerry's record,
"He can run but he can't hide."
Having lived in St. Louis, MO, I can tell you that sort of thing doesn't play well there (or the rest of Middle aka "Real" America).

It is SWEET to see the cause of life on the offense for a change instead of on their heels. I have never witnessed this in my life.
I recall over a year ago, some talking head saying that the election would come down to the social conservative family value issues..especially abortion...

That was probably the only point on which I agreed with Kerry this evening: This election has enormous implications for the future makeup of the SCOTUS.
The wonderfully attentive studio audience was clearly out off by Kerry. During some of his responses, I saw some shaking their heads in disbelief.
I love the moments you guys mentioned too, but I also love to see Kerry looking akwardly at the camera and choking out the words "I will not raise tax".
How about when the President was talking about the publication naming the most liberal senator and I thought he called Lurch 'Senator Kennedy'?

Yes, and to think that people like the pompous ass Judie Brown of the American Life League opposes "compromise" legislation.
Maybe now she'll stop acting like the self appointed "pope" of the pro-life movement.
Yes, he did say Senator Kennedy, but I don't think anybody noticed it -- and he didn't go back and correct it which was good, it would have broken the roll he was on.
Shouldn't Kerry have said "My wife" and not "me" when he talked about people making over 200K?
I liked the way Bush drew the line between embryos already destroyed for stem cell research, and using future embryos; and I saw the looks when Kerry dismissed the frozen embryos in "fertility clinics" that would either be left there or dumped -- so why not kill them -- a frozen embryo is still potential life.
These people voted overwhelmingly for the Defence of Marriage Act. They didn't finesse that one.
It would appear that the FOX politicos have come down with a collective case of Beltway Tunnel Vision, and it's a bad strain. A whole year of 24/7 Presidential Politics has apparently rendered them incapable of understanding the perceptions or concerns of the average American viewer. They are overly impressed with rhetorical grace and lawyerly logic, which is to say thay they wouldn't recognize the plain-spoken Truth if it jumped up and bit them in their quiche-fattened posteriors. Kerry is one of them. Bush isn't. That's true regardless of political affiliation. They are elitists and he is a common guy who just happened to be born into a rich family, but insists on not acting like it. They don't understand why anyone would behave that way - he doesn't care about being invited to all the right cocktail parties and hobnobbing with the cognoscenti (as they fancy themselves). He's happy chopping wood and clearing brush on his ranch. And that's why I (and millions of other Americans) love this man and think he kicked Kerry's ass tonight.
Yep...would not be shut down.
