So anyone here who isn't gubment or work in a bank have Columbus Day off? Seems it is non-PC so no one gets it off anymore...

Or as in the case of a former employer...they dropped Columbus Day to make MLK a holiday... with a clever memo saying that they were adding MLK...but not mentioning they were dropping Columbus Day...it was just missing from the list of holidays they provided at the end of the memo...

White Male Oppressor Day has been replaced with Underrepresented Indigenous Peoples Day here.

I could probably take it off if I decide to.
Then I'm the only employee and my Boss is my brother in law.

It's not "non pc", unless you work for one of the tribes in Oklahoma.

Most people don't take off for Colombus day, washington's birthday, MLK Day, etc. because we are workaholics.

My sons don't have Columbus day off from school. Next day off from school is Veterans Day.

No Columbus day - and the schools don't have Veterans Day off either -

It's either Teacher Day, Spring Break, Winter Break, - now -but they do get MLK day off -

What a nation -
