I too am a proud owner of not a single poncho! But I will confess in 8th grade I had a full length brown wool CAPE with fur trim on the hood. The blood still rushes to my cheeks when I think about it.

My mama crocheted me one like this when I was in junior high. She had some leftover Christmas red and green yarn.
