Now I've got "Angel Band" (the closing song in the movie) running through my head...

I've decided to practice some writing... haven't really done any fiction in a while and I don't want to be rusty come November.

That's a good idea! I've felt like doing something creative all day long, but I successfully squelched it... and now it's too close to bedtime.

Well, I'm kind of prepared for my midterm... the code is too frustrating... and I don't want to start a novel at this time of night, so it's write or watch anime (which I may do in a moment anyway).

Doing a little channel surfing here... came across the end of The Matrix: Reloaded. Groovin' to the closing theme music...

Cool...
I now get one channel. But all it ever gets is Seinfeld reruns. Oh well.
Hah... wrote the equivalent of a NaNoWriMo day. I've still got it.

Phenomenal!
I feel like reading something comfortable and familiar... not sure what though.

I like Heinlein for comfortable and familiar, personally. Some of his short stories suit the bill on a quiet night.

Zelazny works for me, of course... or maybe some graphic novel.
By the way, the third "Amber Pre-History" by Betancourt came out. I liked it!

Oh, yeah, I read that at the bookstore. Not bad. Not Zelazny, but not bad.
Agree about the graphic novels. If I just want something easy and familiar, I grab one of my manga... I've been rereading "Fruits Basket" because I've been in a sweet-funny-story kinda mood.

Hmm... the Dr. Solar origin story, "Alpha and Omega", is kind of fun and dark....
