[Daffynition]

In college, I became a voracious reader of John Steinbeck.

At the time, it fit my parochial, Catholic upbringing.

Then Barry Goldwater came on the scene and shattered all my belief systems.

I loved Steinbeck and read all of his books in high school and college. I even read “My Travels With Charley”.
