I had a fairly vivid dream last night.
I kive in Las Vegas. I am outside for some reason and look over to the sky, along with many other people. I see something streaking across the sky, like a missle or rocket, but it's off in the distance. Instinctively I feel it is a comet or something.
Anyway it is clearly off in the distance and appears to break up - one firey part seems to seperate from the main figure and descend faster. Then there is a flash, and the ground shakes and we all see a mushroom cloud off to the west, what I figure is Los Angeles.
In real life LV is surrounded by mountains so I don't think we would see anything. But this is a dream. It's quite a sight and people are milling around watching it and otherwise going about their business, though the extreme event shakes them up.
I decide to call my family back in nyc, and they tell me they are all ok. In fact my brother tells me he just left me a message to that effect.
The dream and my behavior suggests that some disaster befell nyc though most NYers are ok.
Go figure.

I'd love to see how many people have had roughly the same or very similar sorts of dreams.
My sense is 100's or more. The details are different but the subjects seem to be quite similar.
