This is a shocker! I mean, who would expect unethical behavior of a Democrat activist friend of Hillary?
He's the reverend on the run. Retired pastor Charles Betts - a Democratic activist who once hosted Hillary Clinton at his church [and calls her "Sister Hillary"] - is being sought for embezzling more than $494,000 from Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Queens, authorities said yesterday. Betts, 68, is accused of working with a former aide and her husband to steal the money from the Jamaica church. Prosecutors say they spent it on fancy cars, a vacation in Hawaii and other items. full story
It was the middle of the night. I was exhausted. I didn't know what I was saying. I'm an old man. I'm allergic to peanuts. I ate a Philly cheese steak and I'm turning orange. There must be some excuse! (I love it when even the liberal NY press finally gets it):
MIAMI - Like a good straight man, John Kerry gave Team Bush another opening yesterday when he tried to explain his now-infamous line that he voted for a military spending bill after he voted against it. "I had one of those inarticulate moments, late in the evening when I was dead-tired in the primaries, and I didn't say something very clearly," Kerry said on ABC's "Good Morning America." By the time the next commercial came up, Bush campaign aides determined the comment was made at a noontime rally in West Virginia and were preparing their latest zinger. "Perhaps his watch was on Paris time," the Republican National Committee mocked. rest of story
G'morning Sweetie. Lots of people are going to be effected by the Vioxx recall.
I simply cannot imagine how I would cope if my pain meds were recalled. It's such a hassle and so time consuming to go thru the experimental process of finding an Rx that suits your system and your needs.
My sympathys go out to those who are going to have to face that challenge.
I'm sure none of that money ended up in hillary's campaign coffers.
I wonder if Kerry's glad or unhappy that bill's recovery will keep him off the campaign trail? And where's hillary? I know she creeping around out there somewhere but not much coverage on it. And look at this, bill will recover just in time to speak in Arkansas:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Former President Clinton (news - web sites) has confirmed his first public appearance since his heart surgery three weeks ago a speech at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., on Nov. 9. Whole boring story
(I love it when even the liberal NY press finally gets it)
Seeing all their sad little faces (Now that they realize they picked a freakish dork and dubious war hero for a candidate. Don't these oh so smart people ever read anything besides Tina Brown?) really makes my day. :-)
