Saddles are definitely fun and I don't discriminate, I love them all! Barrel racing saddles are the most comfortable, in my opinion, but I use a ladies reiner that I like. ( I couldn't find a barrel racer with the tooling I prefer) I also have a nice english saddle that I like to make a fool of myself in. I'd like to have an antique sidesaddle, just to look at and marvel that people can actually use those!
The detachable stuff in the helmet sounds like the way to go!

They are. The next saddle I want. (When I finally get my hands on another horse) is an Australian stock saddle. I've always wanted to try one.

Indeed. I wish that my old show helmet had it, simply for hygenic reasons. :-p My new schooling helmet is so comfy that I could wear it to bed. Of course, that could also be because the padding is new... It's a troxel Duratec Gold I think. It was was the only troxel that was comfortable enough and fit my fat head!
