This is the current setup of my barn... We're just renting here so we make do with the existing building that was here. The stalls open into a lean-to that they always have access to, but they are closed out of the stalls during the day, and put in at night in winter.

The lean to is smaller than ideal for three, but they can escape out each end, and out the front. The stalls just have rails between them that would be pretty easy to remove if I was crazy enough to want a foaling stall ;~D

The stalls divide the barn down the middle, and the other side has hay and bedding in it..
