Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the last thread we had a great time and were a great help to each other working through lessons and training, horse lamenesses and illnesses, questions and challenges and always just our stories we like to tell.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the last thread, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
Yes.... both times! Congratulations!
But they aren't described as to who's who. Is the chestnut your stallion? He's got all kinds of neck.
Yea! I see them both:')
Outstanding, I can see, I can see :)
Okay, who are they now? If I remember, you said one was a stud, Liberty?
ok ok..............i am so excited!
In the first photo, you have Misty (taken early summer) and our stud Lightning in the background. We also have a female called Sugar who i dont have a photo on here yet.
Congratulations!
Well, Liberty is sorta close to Lightning - they both start with an L.
What kind, how old - is Misty the one due now?
I'll answer for her since she is obviously away from the computer. Misty is the one that has bagged up. She is a 15 year old Morgan / QH mix.
She's very nice. Is she doing anything yet or still the same?
I'll have to let my wife answer that one. I'm at work so I'm not up to speed on things right now.
Thank you sir - you may come home to a new member of the family.
Sharn is away from the computer at the moment. You may well be right!
hi hubby! Your wifey was out freezing her #@%$% off making sure both mares were ok! She (Misty)is pacing and pacing and looking fed up! Hmmmmmmm I remember those days! LOL
I see two horses. Which one is the horse with white markings on her forehead?
The blaze belongs to Lightning, our stud.
Thats lightning and its a HE`! He is a stud, but wonderful. He is only green broke but loves to do things and has been known to have his hooves clipped whilst relaxing on his back! His trainer said he is the second best horse for training he has ever had. He had a saddle on him the second time!
I do too, I was pacing and you were fed up!
Well I'm ready to see what kind of baby these two pretties made:')
I'm looking forward to that too. I'm really looking forward to seeing the other mare's baby too. She's a mostly white paint and I think they will make a good combination.
I saw the coolest thing today. A yellow hummer pulling a horse trailer:')
