Lurch plays soccer too...

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry (news - web sites) kicks heads a soccer ball with young players from the Denver Power Soccer Academy team, who greeted him on the tarmac in Denver, Colorado September 17, 2004.

My five-year old just told me he looks silly. (She really said stupid, which required I correct her.)

Do you hear that Mr. Kerry? She's five and doesn't vote, and yet you made an negative impression.

Things are pretty bad when babies think he's a dork. I have great hope for the future generation. :)

Funny. Mrs.L. just returned from her mom's place and reported that our three year old nephew was complaining about all the new words that he could not use - stupid, being the first...

Is there some tellie show that over-utilizes this word?

I wish that you were in CenTex - I'd try and get some massage therapy going on. My friend broke her stupid ankle and is wearing a boot-cast and using a crutch until she heals up.

Cheers.

Did you speak with your tenants today? Wondering how your crops fared under the deluge they suffered up that way.

We're hearing some fields will be a total loss and not be harvested. I hope you had insurance.

I'm dying here! "What a dork," doesn't quite cover it anymore. I regret that I can't fit 'sports poser' into my tagline Kerry description.

AP is getting punchy, the caption writer feels the need to identify Kerry in this photo.

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites), right, listens to a questions about handicapped Americans from Dawn Russell, a member of group of handicapped people from Denver, on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, during Kerry's appearance in Aurora, Colo. (AP Photo/David Zalubowski)

Punchy btw, (actual quote was, "exhausted") is the excuse a dem operative gave yesterday for Kerry's most recent incoherent ramblings. Which I'm sure the campaign was just tickled to hear.

I think just about every cartoon and movie seems to use the word these days. Not to mention older brothers and sisters using it.

I'm sorry about your friend's ankle, I hope she's well soon for both her sake and yours.

Please pray that we don't all float away, we're experiencing lots of flash floods in western Pa. due to all this rain.

Miss America tomorrow night! I'll make a live thread for it, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

I feel bad for my brother and his wife, they found their freezer floating in 2 1/2 feet of water in their basement.:(
I'm glad I don't live in the low lying area of town.

Is your heavy rain from that monster, Ivan? I thought he was stalled in the South?

Well if you are housebound next week, you can enjoy watching Kerry on T.V. He will be on Dr. Phil, Regis and Letterman.TERESA AND LURCH ON DR. PHIL

"It's part of the introduction of John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry and who they are and what they are about, just as people."

Kerry's interview with Dr. Phil McGraw will be taped Saturday morning in Boston. Both their wives also will participate in the show, which the campaign said will focus on how Kerry and Heinz Kerry raised their children and how they are affected by the lessons they learned from their parents.

The episode is scheduled to air on Oct. 6, the Kerry campaign said. McGraw also has taped a show with President Bush and first lady Laura Bush that has yet to air.

This is the first I've heard of an appearance with the president and first lady on Dr. Phil, it must have been a very good taping. Should be interesting to see what Dr. Phil will do with each candidate.

I think Kerry should be on every talk show possible, when he talks it does wonders for the president's poll numbers.

Citizen's United has a movie coming out Sept. 21 exposing the truth behind Michael Moore's lies. Watch the trailer.

Wow, thanks for posting the trailer for the movie Celsius 41.11. I had heard about it but did not know the particulars. I for sure will purchase a ticket and go see that one. And if CBS airs Michael Moore's movie the night before the election, maybe another network will air this one. (Yeah, right)

Well, as promised, Uncle Teddy is out campaigning for Kerry-well, he is actually campaigning against Bush, not much to campaign for Kerry for..KENNEDY ON BASH BUSH TOUR

" Sen. Ted Kennedy let his Portuguese Water Dogs, Sunny and Splash, run out of his campaign van, take care of business and trample the ivy near the parking lot at the Wyndham Hotel in Swatara Twp. yesterday. A few minutes earlier, Kennedy had done the same to President Bush."

Having never heard of a Portugese water dog, I did a google and found out what one looks like...

If the movie is half as good as the trailer,,, wow indeed!

"You should have the same health care plan as the Senate, and the Congress and the president. And I believe that and John Kerry does, too," Kennedy said.

Please, somebody ask Teddy or Kerry, why haven't they gotten this idea passed into law? Are they both that ineffectual or is it just not possible? At least 20 years they've had to DO SOMETHING, anything.

Having never heard of a Portugese water dog

I hadn't either, they sort of look like those big herding dogs (can't remember the name, they're big, white and fluffy).

On a completely different note, can you believe that Kerry is trying the Halliburton howl? The flop sweat is getting knee deep over at the Kerry campaign I tell ya! :-)

And this revelation from PageSix:

September 18, 2004 -- WITH Dan Rather and CBS under fire for broadcasting what seem to be fake National Guard documents in a story slamming President George W. Bush, PoliticalMoneyLine.com probed the political contributions made by CBS News staffers. Turns out that Rather's minions are overwhelmingly Democratic. CBS News-ers have donated $17,050 to federal candidates and political action committees since 1982. Of that amount, $10,800 was for Democrats and the DNC; $3,500 went to Lenora Fulani's wacky New Alliance Party; and only $2,750 went to the GOP. The biggest individual recipient was Fulani, who received $3,500 from a CBS News staffer back in the 1980s. The second highest was Sen. Hillary Clinton, who took in $2,250 from three CBS News employees. Among the CBS contributors: the late Charles Kuralt, who gave $1,000 to Harvey Gantt for Senate in 1996; David Garfinkle of "60 Minutes," who gave $1,000 to Bill Bradley's presidential campaign; and "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft, who gave $300 to Ham Fish, Jr.'s race for Congress in 1994.

Shocking eh? ;-)

Yeah, what a bunch of negative nellies... My daughter called and we yakked too long, so I lost track of the game. FWIW, my son-in-law thinks Stewart is a great guy and golfer. And since he's a former Marine and avid golfer, I'll take his word over those nay saying freepers!
