Kerry gets tough...
"Pet wolf" indeed.
Funny you should mention brains and Sharon, she's recently recovered from an aneurysm that nearly killed her. It seems to have left her with some "symptoms" that make her even whackier than she was before.
At times she can seem quite rational. I think rational is one of the new behaviors that appeared after the aneurysm.
Who knows what such a trauma might to do one's wardrobe choices? Remember when she always dressed elegantly?
I can't remember the title but that look on Kerry's face says he's replaying the movie in his head.
Not sure what to make of this:
The students at Bethune-Cookman College, in Daytona Beach, half of them male and most of them under twenty-one, listened politely but with glazed expressions to a digression about hormonereplacement therapy for the symptoms of menopause.
She has no idea how to connect with "little people" and doesn't see the rudeness in trying to educate them because, after all, they're Americans and not very well informed. There's so much out there to know and the little people can't keep up so she must help them understand why their lives are so miserable. Hence the talk about hormone-replacement to 21 year old blacks, half of which are men. No doubt she blamed the president for cutting some woman's program so she had to explain why they should be concerned.
This cemented my conclusion:
You know, Americans are smart, but they only know what they see and hear. How many read op-ed pages? She would like to make a weekly broadcast, perhaps on c-span, talking and listening and feeling part of making peoples lives better.
Hey! Maybe they'll give her Dan Rather's job!
That CBS kerfuffle is going to explode tomorrow. Mapes tells Lockhart to talk to Burkett. Burkett tells USA Today that he refused to give the documents to CBS until they got him an appointment with the higher ups in the Kerry campaign. Can you say, Kerry's circling the bowl? Sure, I knew you could.
Well, well, well. What's going on here? White House wannabe John Kerry and Hollywood honey Uma Thurman look quite taken with one another. Right in front of Teresa - or should we say, right behind Teresa's back!
Teresa is habitually late for appearances, is in love with the sound of her own voice (she'd like a weekly show on C-Span to ``talk and listen and make people's lives better'') and believes she's ``too old to be bossed around.''
But, deep down, I am very distressed that all our suspicions about the MSM are really true! They are biased and will do anything to elect a Liberal Democrat...Anything!!!
And Slick and the Beast just sit back and watch and let everyone else do their dirty work.
Speaking of the hillybillys, Clinton Library Looks Like Doublewide
"About the funniest thing Ive read was an April Fools piece by Bob Lancaster of the Arkansas Times, in which he suggested that the structure had been mistakenly erected according to specifications for Boxcar Willies, not Slick Willies, library."
Little Yovani Matos' corpse was a road map of pain. His liver had been torn. His intestines, damaged. His left leg was deformed, a bone sliced in half by a powerful blow, authorities said. When he was found Sunday in a Harlem apartment, the little boy, not yet 2, had 60 bruises all over his tiny body.
The boy's 20-year-old mother and her lesbian lover were charged yesterday with Yovani's murder - and initially told cops they beat the toddler to break a demonic "spell."
Zahira Matos, who was arraigned and held without bail last night, and 32-year-old Carmen Molina "claimed the kid's father was a witch and he put some kind of spell on him," a police source said. ...
Until earlier this year, Matos lived with her two children and her mother in Wyoming, Mich., a city of 70,000 southwest of Grand Rapids. She was still pregnant with her third child when she met Molina last year. ...

The daughter of a doctor, Heinz loves to dispense medical advice. Friends think she is ``delightful, loving, funny and kindhearted'' but her step-daughters, Vanessa and Alexandra Kerry, did not hit it off with her at first.
``I thought, `I love kids, kids love me, I'll be fine.' Baloney,'' Teresa said. ``You have to treat stepchildren like pets. You're nice to them but you don't get too close or they chew you up. Well, I did it the other way.''
In fact, we hear the gals refer to Heinz as their ``step-money.'' As for her hubby, the piece says that Kerry spoke French to Teresa when he was wooing her, as is his wont.
I imagine John Effin has a similar name for his saucy sweetie, who saved him from a life of sleeping on other peoples' sofas when she and H. John Heinz III's money came into his life.
Can I be your date to the Inaugural Ball?
The other picture is of Robin Rather who is very active in Texas politics and knows several of those involved. Do not know if she knows Mary Mapes though. I am not inferring they are thespians or anything like that...Robin looks like her papa, bless her heart.
"You should have the same health care plan as the Senate, and the Congress and the president. And I believe that and John Kerry does, too," Kennedy said.

See ya at Bethesda for our annual check-up.
Those jackasses.
Good grief - best wishes on dealing with the weather up there, M.
Lemme help you here:
While holding wifey, eff'n's working Uma's bunz, with the goofiest look I've seen since Jr.High...Uma's not saying NO! is the sad part...
You've got a way with words......
Edwards: "Ewwww, that Wendy's chili jes' isn't settin' well today. Of course, we may have gotten a bad bunch of Coquilles St.-Jacques at that fancy French place we visited after eatin' at Wendy's ... urp!"
I back! Just got power a little while ago.
A lesson for all to learn: When I came home and turned on the lights, they looked sooooo bright. I attributed it to having been living by candle wattage. But then I noticed odd things. The fridge light was very faint and it wasn't cooling. When I plugged in the TV, all the lights in the room went out. Unplugged it quickly, the lights came back on but not so bright this time...and the fridge came on. Uh oh.
Fortunately, there was a power crew just finishing for the night down the street, so I raced down to catch them. Told them the symptoms and they seemed concerned. Followed me back with the bucket truck, got on top of my house, and found the "ground" was torn loose. He said if I had not come and gotten them IT WOULD HAVE BURNED UP ALL MY HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES. As it is, it seems to have only burned up the surge protector for my TV.
Lesson: After a power outage like this, be sure to check all your appliances and see if they're working correctly. If not, unplug them all until you can get your electrical checked out.
Anyway. The yard is a mess, but the house is good. Lost two of my very favoritest trees.
Home sweet home. Ahhhhhh.
Have you checked with your tenant? Did the monsoonal deluge get you? Knowing of the problems you have with your creek, I am fearful you took a hit.
Early yield checks here are excellent. Extremely Excellent. Some of the best corn is coming in at 250 bu per A, dry. Beans at 65+
Start counting your money!!! ;>)
Wow, I'm so glad you got that electrical problem fixed in time, and that - apart from the trees - your home's in good shape. I'm hearing more and more stories of complete devastation and loss from the flooding around here, it's just heartbreaking.
