Kerry gets tough...
LOL...you beat me!
Oh peee-uke! Ricky Holbrook is on Face the Nation telling us how GWB isn't listening to his generals and blah blah blah.
Just going to ignore that Blather thingy I guess?
All of a sudden the NIE's are the truth of all truth. Iraq is a quagmire! Iraq will fall into civil war! That's funny because when the NIE came out the said Saddam WAS trying to procure yellow cake from Niger, well, we weren't supposed to believe that!
Let me add, Chuck Hagel is a pain the bazoo. I wish he'd keep his stupid opinions to himself.
There has to be a first time for everything. :-)
Have you heard the theory that Ivan is leaving the Atlantic coast in such a way that he could get pushed south again, enter the Gulf again, and re-constitute into a hurricane...again?!!!
That's too depressing to even contemplate.
Allawi on This Week... Snuffleupaguss just asked him about the NIE reports, had he read them. He said he had seen them in the news but did not read them. Snuffy was incredulous, "Why not?!" Because they're not true Allawi told Snuffy, it's all negative and then went on to explain why he doesn't believe all the negative "could be's".
Just talked to Verizon - we may not have phone service until Wednesday night. Oh well, at least for today we can watch Ryder Cup on TV.
It appears we're not supposed to get any more rain this week, I hope so.
Some of my family from Pgh are headed to the Outer Banks later today, and it looks like they'll manage to get through the week at the beach without another hurricane showing up, I'm glad to see from weather.com! Glad you all are safe - my b-i-l spent Fri. night in Indiana Co. at their farm because he and my sister didn't think he could make it back to Pgh., but he made it back alright by Sat. afternoon.
I think I'll head back home now from Mr. M's office. Perhaps the townsfolk have a cleanup project going in which I might participate. Our community park was wiped out, so there's one place we can start!
Here's hoping the rest of the team carries it well enough for Stewart. If he's still playing thru 18 holes that will be good news indeed!
"Really sweetheart, let the nice doctor tie those sleeves around back, it's for your own... uh, I mean, it's all the rage this season here at the mental spa."
President Bush just finished up his visit to P'cola/Gulf Shores area. Very emotional.
Now. Would it be cool or what if, instead of going back to DC as announced, he flew to Detroit to cheer on the U.S. team!!! It would be just like him to do it...please!!!
Here is close to mountaineer, I think..

So many lost everything, really horrible.

If most of the Alabama officials are anything like Alabama's Homeland Security Director Jim Walker, y'all are in good hands. I listened to an intereview with Walker a few weeks ago and he was impressive. Here's a website that might help you or a friend with the mess Ivan caused.
Pics for mountaineer.

Yikes.
Britney is going to be in Elizabeth Taylor numbers before she's 30.
Where's that UN army when you need them? Get Howard Dean on the phone, he knows where they are.
heh heh heh!
From the I've got a bridge to sell you file...
Far from the world's prying eyes, a devoted and tender Hillary Clinton rarely left her husband Bill's side before, during and after his heart surgery.
She held his hand, stroked his face and whispered lovingly into his ear. She listened with concern to every medical discussion about what he would be facing.
"It was obvious they had a very deep affection for one another," said Dr. Allan Stewart, a member of the three-person cardiac surgical dream team headed by Dr. Craig Smith.
"She would whisper things that only he could hear. She didn't leave his side. She held his hand. It was very moving to see."
Another staffer who observed them during the hospital ordeal noted: "He was happier and more at ease when she was next to him."

Fair Article about the Twins on the Trail
"As they left the building on their way to another campaign event in Milwaukee, Jenna and Barbara ran into a group of about 40 student protesters, who were positioned near their motorcade. One girl held a sign that said DRAFT JENNA, while another held a sign that read SEND THE BUSH TWINS TO IRAQ.
" A male student on his way to class read the signs and paused. No way, he yelled. Dont send them to Iraq. Send them to my room!
Here is a brutal article...the writer does not like celebrity sisters at all...she is sorta mean to the Kerry gals too..TWO IN THE BUSH
"The Bush twins, our American first daughters, one blond, one mousy-haired, one U. Texas, one Yale, showed up at the Republican National Convention in all their sisterly glory, intending to inspire American boys and girls with their flirty, vapid charms, and woo Ma and Pa with a Parent Trapstyle sweetness. "
"The Kerrys had the same basic setup: One blonde, one brunette, one campaigning dad they wanted to support. Trying desperately to rock the vote, they barely made it past easy-listening. The dutiful daughters, couture-clad and poli-sci-major serious, got vociferously booed, just like their dad at Fenway Park last July. Their faces betrayed not only pain and embarrassment, but indignation. One of them tried to shush the crowd. The Kerry sisters are proof that celebrity sisterhood takes some strategy. Giggles à deux trip the applause meter, while two girls bearing a message in stereophonic schoolmarm style wont fare as well in the public eye."
Watching Alexandra and Vanessa eat it was a twofer pity party. In an "It" obsessed era, their presentation made the viewer painfully aware that these two are utterly "It"-less. The Kerrys vibe is akin to Tracy Flick crossed with a Bennington girl who sulks in the corner at a party, plucking hairs out of her head one by one. No matter how many times Alexandra shows off her fried eggs through draped black chiffon at Cannes, that dour, long-faced New England reserve queers the air. The Heinz-Kerrys are just not a bunch that screams "get on board."
MEOW.
Europe wins. I guess they're good for somthing
