Agree with you, the $10 difference was miniscule and the men priced their item too high as well.
Pricing is a bear. MBAs take courses on it, and apparently none of the contestants took them. Who is to say whether lower prices would have increased sales volume and thus the bottom line?
Long ago, I learned in a mass-market business that certain prices don't sell. An item priced at 39 cents, for example, would sell far fewer units than the same item priced at 49 cents. George reminds me of crusty but wise old New York guys I met during the course of that particular venture. Learned a lot from them!
Firing Pamela was based, I think, on her lack of people skills shown not just this time--she did unite the team--but on other contests as well.
Maria looks good but her performance has been below par. Look for her to get fired soon. Stacy has brought exactly nothing to the table, she'll go because of her endless kvetching. Ivana has been less-than-brilliant too. The women are all going down, with Jennifer lasting perhaps the longest.
Meanwhile, the men look great, every one of them. None has made a major mistake yet. They like and respect one another and have real team spirit. It's going to be quite interesting when they have to compete against each other. Raj is an outstanding guy, but may not last til the end. At this point, I have no clue who will end up the winner. Any guesses?
I thoroughly enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at QVC operations. Fast-paced excitement! These inside glimpses of real businesses make The Apprentice a joy to watch.
The pricing should have been an attention grabbing "special introductory deal". It could have been "Buy one, get one for 1/2 price", or even a light up the phone lines explosion they would have gotten with a "Buy one, get one free" offer.
Pbear8, no sorta pun intended, right?
