I've been a member of Free Republic only a few months now, but have visited often since mid 2000. For the first time today I went over to the DU site and was appalled by the lack of respect over there. It was sickening to read the posts written over there - is it always like that over there or is this a reflection of their candidate's implosion?
In Texas they call that a "converation".
In Texas they spell better: CONVERSATION.
The DU mental arteries have been 90%+ clogged for years. No bypass surgery is expected.
It's not always like that... sometimes it's worse.
As you read this, the Molasses Miasma of Niceness is invisibly oozing from your keyboard ... tomorrow, you will find yourself typing, "Sure, we can agree to disagree!" "I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're obviously right!" and "Well, bless your heart!"
As a carrier of the MM, you can go back to DU and try to infect them, if you have a strong stomach :-).
What is the DU site?
www.democraticunderground.com
lay low and carry a big stick if you go over there.
Okay..been there..and well they seem to be crying a lot lately. :-)

That pretty much describes the election this year.
A smattering of the chatter on FR is juvenile, but in
general, any random citizen who browses both sites is
going to be able to make a clear choice.
Let DU continue being authentic. It's nice that the
internet provides such visibility into the "progressive"
soul, formerly masked and disguised in previous elections.
By your own admission you want them in jail, yet if they get out of jail, no matter what the means, they should be allowed to own a gun? "Got Out of Jail" equals restoration of rights? A bit of a logic problem here....
Well, as one who has been as disrespectful to Kerry as anyone.... However, Kerry deserves no respect and is a filthy dirtbag, so I am ok about it.
