I'm wondering what will happen with my son-in-law's father who is a conservative Episcopal minister in Florida-so far, his congregation has been solidly behind him, but his bishop is a waverer...

Good morning........ I think TherAzzaaay is suffering from being out among the "little people" - kind of like when Missionaries introduced Western diseases to tribes in South America - she was a little dizzy and had a tummy ache....... Good Lord....lol

You'd think being married to effin would provide enough high colonics for her.

speaking of being dizzy, xsteen drove home from church. SG, Mass wasn't over til almost noon, so it wasn't exactly deserted. there were even BIKERS on the dang street that she had to avoid. i did the best i could to keep my yap shut, but xshub said i WOULD have to be bound and gagged the next time. i blurted out a few things and he was not happy with me....

we were lucky to make it to the 10:30 mass and even then were running late so we had xshub drive there. We parallel park on the street and she had to get out from there. But luckily, it was clear, about 4 carlengths, by the time we got out. the other two were completely silent, under penalty of death.

the first biker was an adult, riding on the dang street, and he would have made a nice hood ornament. there were two kids riding bikes in the roadway through the cemetary, where xshub had her cut through. He wasn't mentioning the kids, so that was one of the things i blurted out that made him mad. i said Watch out for the kids on bikes. I have to say he is doing a great job with her. telling her when to accelerate, when to start slowing for a light or a stopsign and also telling her to pick a point to decide about proceeding through a light, the point at which to decide whether it will change or not, and then you just keep going. i would not have thought of that, but it worked very well, he took her through the decisionmaking process at each light we came to.

Do you remember the other day when I was telling you about the British show, "Keeping Up Appearances"? lol

One of the continual lines used by Hyacynth on that show is said to her husband, Richard. As he drives along the road, if she sees someone on the sidewalk (not even close to the street) she will say, "Mind the pedestrian, Richard"........ lol

He gives her this "why me" look and answers, "Minding the pedestrian Hyacynth"..........lol

Ok - you'd have to see the show but it is funny........and my husband will make that crack at me if he is driving and I point something out to him..........

I think you're right about Tahrayzza-between her seeing X42 getting all that attention and Dubya putting a leash on her poodle at the convention she just had to grab some thunder-hasn't she ever heard of antacids? Jeez, I had indigestion after we got home from the party from eating some really greasy sausage, but I didn't make hubby take me to an emergency room-I just took some Tums and sat up for awhile-she's as much a wuss as he is...

My hubby has a fit if I point out to him that he is driving WAY over the speed limit without his radar detector on, but if I am five miles over the limit with mine ON, he says something like "Do you know you are going 60?" I always just give him an exasperated look and mutter something like telling Noah about the flood. He has offered to take me to a favorite junk/collectible/antique shop outside of Kerrville this afternoon to find something I want for my birthday-he gave me a bottle of my favorite perfume this morning, but I kind of like to pick out at least one of my own presents.

Thank you for the pretty cakes!

I found 4 hunter green ceramic cannisters embossed with apples and grapes for the kitchen at my favorite junk shop, and they look really good on the counter. Hubby is taking me to the fancy restaurant at the marina on the other side of the lake for dinner, so I put on a black lycra sundress with the outlines of fish printed on it in gray-it looks like a tank top that comes to my ankles, actually-this is the first time I have worn it. I'm wearing black sandals with sequins, more jewelry than usual and leaving my hair down with mother of pearl combs on the sides. I hope I look okay-I also hope their side diehes have improved-Husky girl wouldn't even eat the rice I brought her the last time we ate there...
