In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
POSIT: verb. (pa-zit) tr.v. pos·it·ed, pos·it·ing, pos·its
1. To assume the existence of; postulate. See Synonyms at presume. 2. To put forward, as for consideration or study; suggest: “If a book is hard going, it ought to be good. If it posits a complex moral situation, it ought to be even better” (Anthony Burgess). 3. To place firmly in position.

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

morning! i consider camping the worst sort of hell. only time i ever did it was when i was little and my brother and i put a bedspread over the clothesline and made a tent. i think we were back in the house by 11pm.

But there is hardly a cloud in the sky here and no rain in the forecst until at least mid week.
if you're a loner, i am a dang hermit! you are miss congeniality having people over in the neighborhood and i shun them! but i agree, shopping with women is the pits. shopping with men is INSANE. one must shop alone for it to be truly enjoyable.
that is why i am not married to you, robt. you are a camper and you married one and raised others. no CAMPING in the xshouse. i did forget the brownie camping trip 2 falls back, but that was in the palatial cabin with the hardwood floors (i had no air mattress and they were EXTRAhardwood floors) and the ceiling fan. that will not be reprised, i guarantee : )

unbelievably sick. how does someone turn out that way, capable of such cruelty? is this a learned behavior or is she genetically flawed?
I'll bet her dad thought it was no big deal for her to torture puppies and kittens too.
that's exactly what i was thinking. kids will be kids... there HAD to have been signs of this proclivity.

i see you are a BUCKEYE, where in OH are you? my bro and his family live in Warren. and dubyaismypresident, one of the star pupils of the class, is from Y'town and lives up near Cleveland, that northwestern suburb of Pittsburgh (where i am from)... ; )
