Word For The Day, Friday, 9/3/04
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
POSIT: verb. (pa-zit) tr.v. pos·it·ed, pos·it·ing, pos·its
1. To assume the existence of; postulate. See Synonyms at presume. 2. To put forward, as for consideration or study; suggest: If a book is hard going, it ought to be good. If it posits a complex moral situation, it ought to be even better (Anthony Burgess). 3. To place firmly in position.
Etymology: [From Latin positus, past participle of pnere, to place. See position.]
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Dick admits that going back to work for him, after the knockdown dragged out BRAWL that he had with him, was all about the proximity to power. he also discusses that Hil was acutely aware that her power was always derivative of Bill's and that is why she defended him time after time.
So, the toe-sucker and Hildebeast are both parasites on the carcass of the Bubbaloon?
Hillary's power fix is what she is getting out of the relationship in return for her putting up with his abuse and defending him. She may love him, but I doubt that he loves her, and it is a really sick relationship. I hope the man gets well soon, but I still can't stand the bastard.
I think her fat ass is a sign of her unhappiness-many people let their appearance go to hell when they are depressed or unhappy. She chooses to stay in a bad relationship, so I can't really have any sympathy for her.
I think Kiran's fairly bright but a little plain. She has a weird name too, doesn't she? How do you like Patty Anne's new do? It's much shorter and darker.
He might claim she loves him, but it is not the expected kind of relationship since she plays for the other team.
That sex survey is a funny thread! I most certainly wouldn't do Ketchup boy, even with a sack over his head-he's a wuss-I like a real man, and Dubya has certainly demonstrated that he is one-besides, he's really good looking. I think Dick Cheney is hot, too, but then I think bald men are sexy (I married one).
Also, strangely enough, some people equate more size with power which keeps them from losing weight. There is always more to it when you break it down. Feeding a need, feeding your gut, making yourself miserable, using it as an excuse to stay unattractive - there are so many things involved.
pretty dang much. and up til lately there was more than enough carcass to go around....
she may play for the other team, but she most definitely had a sexual relationship with vince foster, also.
-not to change the subject or anything, rme.....but my copy of Unfit for Command is in. :) I can't wait to pick it up. Have you read it?
i don't find Kiran plain, i think she is very pretty and doesn't tend to sexualize herself the way Huddy does.
I agree with that, but with vince she would be on top....
Fat is also a way that some women who feel used by or no longer want to have sex with their husbands keep them (and other men) away-he isn't likely to insist on sex if she is unnattractive sexually to him. It is indeed a complicated issue, and theirs is obviously the marriage made in hell...
picturing that is grossing me the hell out, ti!!!
i admit to not having looked closely at her lately, but some of that caboose may just be genetic. she doesn't look heavy in the face or upper body. there is only so much you can do with your body shape. She can however wear something other than a black crusty pantsuit.
Not yet. I have to take a break from political books because they make me angry. I'm reading Cavuto's book and The Traveler's Gift right now.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Wasn't planning to ruin your weekend or anything.
she appears to be an evil bi woman indeed.......
