Ugh. What a slow day. Our Kerberos servers are down... so no one can log in and get any work done. It's a slow news day, so freeping isn't as much fun. I need a nap.

Want me to find a cholesterol / diet article to post for ya, just to stir things up? ;-)

Naw. I am going to go home an hour early, tho. Big'ol is tdy for two weeks and the poor pups have been in their kennels all day. I gotta let them out so they can pee.

Poor pups...

See, that was the worst of the deal yesterday...I usually get home from work at four thirty, so the dogs get out then. And I did leave the house later yesterday than I would on a normal work day, but not much. So...I was trying to get home by five, and we kept getting onto new topics of conversation and it WAS five by the time I went out to the car, and then it took us literally almost two HOURS to get it going 'cause we were trying to get their jumper cables to work forever! I was really stressing out worrying about the doggies. They were OK, but VERY glad to see me! Poor babies...

Yeah. It breaks my heart. I hate it when Big'ol is away and the pups have to be in their kennels. So I give them a good runaround workout to burn off some energy.

Good Afternoon All; a bit unusual a mid-day post but today was a bit different. LSA and I joined 14,000 of our fellow republicans and gave our president, George W Bush, a rousing LS MO welcome. Yes, we took pics, but the usual machinations will be needed before we can (if we can) post 'em.

Kit Bond, Jim Talent and Sam Graves welcomed W to Missouri. W showed up right on time and we all cheered our hearts out. Gave a fine speech, lasted about 45 minutes, pausing for many "4 more years", "USA-USA" and "Bush-Cheney". Plenty of signs were passed out, ours is in our window as we type. Wonderful Rally, so good to see so many young people there. I expected it to be slow going into the stadium-field area, but there were plenty of scanners (air port type-even checking to see my nail clippers had the file removed) and crowd moved through in good order, no distruptors that I saw or heard.

Weather was perfect, sunny blue skies, upper 60's and a nice breeze. Water being passed out but not a real issue, unlike Labor Day temps most years.

Wonderful rally, feel very fortunate to be able to go and see W in person. He's off to Sedalia - Columbia. Was in Poplar Bluff yesterday.

Most excellent report.

I take it you did not try to give the President a Hobbit Hole knife...

How fun! Glad you went osage! I've never been to a presidential speech or rally.... And much as I avoid going to town, I'd like to think I'd go if he came near.

LOL!

Can you imagine if we were ever able to do that? I know the president doesn't really NEED a knife in the same way that they're handy to military folks...but it would still be way, way cool.

Y'all noticed we're getting a whole new batch of trolls today? Must be the polls coming out of Labor Day weekend. The rats are coming unhinged...

Yeah, but them Secret Services fellows wouldn't let you through...

Gah. Exhausted. For some reason I could not stay focused in class. Got lectured because I haven't started the homework for that class yet - I'm trying to finish up another class's program first. Sheesh, I only have so many hours in my day.

Am trying to decide if I can go to a campus Bible study group tonight, or not. I really ought to work on homework... and I have an FMA if I do well enough... but I'd like to go to this study, too.

No - I haven't been perusing the forum much today.

Been chatting on the horse thread, and obsessing on beating a video game ;~D

Well, now they're announcing that we've hit 1,000 U.S. deaths in Iraq. Speculation is that at CNN and DU they're popping the champagne corks...

They're prolly right.

Disgusting and probably true. May DU poison itself of it's own venom.
