Mornin' Hobbits, elves, dwarves, men and wizards.

Where is everyone this bright and sunny day?

Good morning!

I went to the early Mass this morning...didn't have time to check in before it.

And this afternoon we have a gig. I'm not feeling good (headachy and such)...and really don't wanna play. *sigh* I guess I'm lucky I'm not a *real* musician...

Hopefully the pain killers kick in by time time we play...

My house is ALMOST to the "looks clean if I close off all but the livingroom and the kitchen" stage. Gotta get the bathroom organized before music night on Tuesday...

Deep cleaning makes such a mess! I have closets almost emptied out...which will be good in the long run, but for now...it's utter chaos!

The bathroom has to be done right before people come anyway, though, as I have one cat that likes to sit in the sink, which leaves hair EVERYwhere. I suppose I could just keep the door shut, but that's too common sensical for me. ;-)

Morning All - Beautiful sunny day here too. Gardening on the agenda. Tulips, scillas, hyacinths, and LSA got a little auger bit for the rechargeable drill to assist the bulb planting effort.

Sometimes even a luddite like me finds a wizardy type power tool can come in handy.

OT: KC 'Red' Star has a NASCAR supplement section today.

Howdy!

I SHOULD be planting today...but since I'm gonna wear a dress for the gig this afternoon, I'm being lazy, 'cause I don't want to change out of "church clothes" and back again.

But I have GOT to plant bulbs tomorrow! Somebody nag me, OK? ;-)

Have you gotten an e-mail from the NaNoWriMo folks? I still haven't.

Did some figuring...my usual journal entry is about 500 words, but I don't use flowery language like I can make my character use...I'm betting just writing two days' worth of entries for her every day will be enough to keep my word count up. Now if I can just think of enough things to have happen to her or thoughts for her to write down! I'm doing a little vague outlining, which I haven't done in past years. I think that will help.

They can think they "won" the debate all they want. Just like Mondale, Dukakis, Gore... but "winning" a debate means converting people to your point of view. Nada on that score.

I was listening to NPR the other day where folks were talking about how Kerry won the debate, and the moderater of the debate reminded folks that in every one of the last 6 elections, the person who won the first debate went on to LOSE the election! Heh, kinda brought those folks down some.

Cult o Anime, I love it! I'm so glad you're making some friends. It makes it more fun being in a new place on your own, doesn't it?

Elf-boy poses with our new front yard decor.

Just got my new Bush/Cheney sign, pins, and bumper stickers on Thursday. One of the bumper stickers is the one that reads, "W Stands for Women". Gots me a button that says the same thing, and it's on my purse!

Joseph is mowing the yard right now, and we're gonna put up all of our political stuff this afternoon! Got a Bush/Cheney sign, one for the Repub. running for Congress, and an Independent running for the State Senate. Don't want to vote for the Repub. this year because she's almost as pro-abortion as the Democrat.

Sunday morning funkle!! I'm catching up because our router kicked my computer off the network yesterday for no apparent reason! Sounds like it was fortunate timing though, since FR was doing an upgrade anyway!

Clare and I spent yesterday afternoon at our Town Fall Festival. The Girl Scouts were doing face painting at the Welcome Wagon booth. They had lots of fun. A particular favorite design was for the Crew Teams. They got crossed oars on one side of their faces, and SHS, the school initials, on the other side.

One little boy came up and wanted Spongebob Squarepants painted on his belly. He got it, then walked around the rest of the afternoon with his shirt pulled up! It was hilarious!

Don't read the Red Star. They're racing at Talladega today and it's on "regular" TV. I like Talladega....fast track.

Speaking of fast track, anyone heard from WN lately? Did she seriesly hurt the computer guy?
