Try this:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level
Scroll down to Microsoft VM and make sure it is not set to "Disabled".

Sill can't find Microsoft VM. Does it matter that I'm running IE 6.0, XP Pro?

Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.jsp and see if you can see the dancing logo thing. If not, there are further troubleshooting steps and a download link to reinstall Java at the bottom of the page.

ROTK is fine by me. Alyson and Becky are still up though, so I may have to catch up.

Depends when we start....

Thanks to ecurbh, I'm up on chat. If we're gonna do a movie, I'm gonna have to go get the DVD player from the other room and hook it up.

Elfboy took a good pic of his sister.

Every time the camera is brought out, he starts asking to take pictures too. Msdrby and I are thinking photography might be a way to help him mentally focus on a task to completion. Spiderboy appears to have nearly all of the symptoms of ADD. Msdrby's brother is affected by it, and her father may have been as well.

Have you considered an el cheapo 35mm? They're almost a dime a dozen; Walgreens is literally giving away film if you buy their camera and let them to the processing. When the time comes, there are legacy all-manual SLRs to let him goof around with exposure and aperture and stuff other than composition (which he seems to have a handle on).
