Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

osage - I know they'll be here today. Problem is, I gotta leave in an hour to get Luke to a birthday party. And, since Jr. isn't 18, they won't let him sign for it.
Ruthy - sounds like the little tyke could use a nice bottle of chianti for his/her birthday. You could drink it in honor of the occasion.
Laters.
Of all the things I got to worry about, a brush fire is NOT amongst them. ;-)
Oh I do hope there is only one. I am a little slow today ;~D
You misunderstand.... We ~want~ it to catch fire.
Hair: a couple of jerry cans of diesel and a few highway flares can do wonders with a green brush pile.
You may want to notify the local fire department though, it'll put out some SERIES smoke. Film at 11. :-)
Corin; don't think much would burn here today either, 4 inches since midnight.
Off to the recycling center with my catalogs and old magazines before I weaken and reshelve for 'reference'
This is the area we seeded today with a pasture and clover mix. It still looks a little rough, but it ain't a lawn, and we can pick up sticks till the cows come home. Next spring, we can get it better ~and~ not be working in the mud.
I left ecurbh holding the bag.
Pony watching from the under the apple tree, which, ironically, is still there.
We like this spidery tree. It's Hazelnut, but I keep insisting on calling it Nutmeg.
Horses got put back out in the front now while the seed grows.
This is the brush pile to be burned.
"More witches!"
"Wood!"
"Why do witches burn?"
"Because they're made of wood?"
"So, how do we tell whether she is made of wood?"
"Build a bridge out of her!"
"Ah, but can you not also make bridges out of stone? Does wood sink in water?"
"No, it floats! It floats!"
"Throw her into the pond!"
"What also floats in water?"
"Bread!"
"Apples!"
"Uh, very small rocks!"
"Cider!"
"Uh, gra-- gravy!"
"Cherries!"
"Mud!"
"Uh, churches! Churches!"
"Lead! Lead!"
"A duck!"
Are you saying my brush pile is made of ducks?
Hey dad, is my gig line straight? Is my haircut 35-10?
Practicing evading capture.

Ok...just got back from getting the girl's fiddle...ended up buying a used one from the music store for 150 out the door...it's made by Karl Knilling (German) and they put new strings on it for me and threw in a $30 bow. There was some rosin that was in the case but I think it's too old and hard to use, so I'll have to get some more.
Now I just have to get a tin whistle and the girl and I can make a joyful noise!
Mrsnad
*2J...good job on the chickens watering hole!
What a cute baby!
Mrsnad
Have you ever though about either of your boys getting a HAM license?
Oh man, that's the cutest thing I've seen in a long long time!
She's a cutie! Then again I am a bit biased.
Thanks!
Ever thought about getting her a HAM license? ;~D
LOL, we are going to have to watch that again soon.
You know, we were actually asked that same question earlier today. I am studying to get mine. I am this >< close...
Hair & Ecurbh - looks like you two have been busy. The 'back forty' is shaping up nicely. Pony looks a bit puzzled - what are those people up to now? :-)
That is a 'vey' cute looking little one. Great outfit. Elfboy took a good pic of his sister.
Mrsnad - kudos on the fiddle for thegirl. I imagine you'll be hearing the strains of 'Absolom Farewell' drifing across Dogwood Ridge in no time a-tall.
