Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, I'm gonna take down some more shutters, by God!
(maybe not quite all of them) since they are plywood and are heavy and take forever.
Although, I am just getting used to living in darkness.
Not really.
Ivan has been a terrible storm.

Reminds me of my mother in law! *laughing* Poor fella. He really is trying to impress everyone, but it's better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt. ;-)

Ah... Roger that.
Howdy Ruthee! :-)
Looks like we're the ones to get the storminess now. Blustery, hard rain... Rumors of lightning later... Cool.
To: Ramius
There are others that say, for example, "One Nation Under God".

Evening - TWTWTW - LSA got 'Kerry Kall', was polite to the 'older woman' on the other end, it wasn't long till she had the woman saying "well, I don't know, I've wondered that myself, and that's true" hehehehe, more than one way as they say. Actually, if the callers aren't committed or have questions, what does that say about the ones committed enough to work a phone bank.
G'nad & Bear, "Sky Captain" that might be a good one. Don't know, just might need to go, looks quirky enough.
Ruthie and Sam, when does hurricane season end? I was thinking it was a bout Columbus Day.
OT: if your offer was higher than the home's value to the bank, I would be the bank would take you up on the offer. Makes one wonder, though.
"Chiefs" yep, it gets this way every year the Royals aren't in the Pennant Race. I'm not a big fan anyway, but there are many I know who tailgate bigtime. And their other uniform is white. I'm thinking tickets are about $50 a piece for the 'cheep seats'.

Take it easy with the storminess.
Hitting the sack in a moment.
Our weather is not normal yet, but much closer than it has been, luckily.
Strangely calm and no clouds or thunderstorms, which is just plain weird for September.
