There is no such thing as a partial birth abortion. I asked my doctor and he told me that there is something called an intact dilation and extraction that is used when a baby has died but that is all that he knew of.
Time for you to get a new doctor. The one you have is a liar or doesn't know his own field. Do a google search on intact dilation and extraction. Here are reasons it is done....
The fetus is dead
The fetus is so malformed that it can never gain consciousness and will die shortly after birth.
The fetus is alive, but continued pregnancy would place the woman's life in severe danger.
The fetus is alive, but continued pregnancy would grievously damage the woman's health and/or disable her.
The fetus is alive, but the woman wishes to end her pregnancy for non-medical/psychological reasons.
You need to broaden yourself a little. The truth will set you free.
Then why did we have to have a petition drive to get it banned here in Michigan?
Just so you know, a PBA is when a woman is dilated; the baby's legs are grasped by tongs, pulling the baby down the birth canal; then surgical instruments puncture the base of the baby's neck, the brain is extracted, and the skull is crushed, making delivery of the now dead baby so much easier.
