You're taping the school sessions?

We're going to start Autumn on a pre-home-school program in the fall, and have some workbooks and curriculum on order. We figure about 3 hours a day of lessons will be a good place to start, and it'll help get her ready for next year.

Three hours is alot for a little one...be sure you space it out over the day! Joshua's classes are about 2 hours including worksheets. Even then, they have breaks about every 15 minutes!

Yes, I tape five days worth of lessons for 10 classes every week. Then they view those classes the next week. While they are viewing those lessons, I am taping the next week's lessons.

The ten classes are (J for Joshua, M for Matthew):
J-Bible
M-Bible*
J-Beginnings (Kindergarten)
J-Math
M-Math
M-English/Grammer
M-Reading
M-Spelling
M-Heritage Studies/Science*
M-Handwriting*

The items with a * beside them are classes that Matthew has to watch, but has no curriculum to turn in. He has to make an entry in a three-subject notebook after each lesson telling me what the lesson was about.

Just keep in mind that very, very few homeschoolers spend the whole day on school. It just isn't necessary when you're doing one on one instead of having to wait for a class, and don't have to include additional gubmit programs like "Do Your Parents Always Buckle Your Seatbelt?"

Usually I only did school in the mornings...had the afternoon free.
