It only occurred to me yesterday that since we'd be mooting with him, we should give him a knife. :~D
I'm happy to donate mine, and I've also got the proto knife for my purse, so no need to send another for me if there are troops in need first! :~D
He send his APO mailing address which we FRMailed you with his note. Do you still have that from ecurbh or should he send it again?
Here's his note to jog the memory... He found us from the engraved addy on a knife he saw. Not sure how many he needs for his group, but his email addy was also included, and we can send a not asking if you want:
"My name is Charles [last name removed] and I am stationed in Iraq with the US Army. I have been here over six months and happened upon a fellow soldier that proudly showed his treasured knife that he received. I too would be honored to own such a knife but more important would like to reward some of the troops here with them. They have worked hard and deserve more than I can ever repay. Anything that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If this is too much to ask, I do understand. Over half of these fine soldiers have served our country through 2 wars, two dating back to Vietnam.
Thanks again for honoring the soldiers that serve. We greatly appreciate the support.

If it's Major Charles R., I sent him a dozen. One for himself, one for each of the ten oldtimers he mentioned, and a "spare".
I'll send you a replacement. You can always give it away. If they arrive in time, yours will have a serrated blade. Only ten Hobbit Hole knives had serrated blades, prior to the 20 I'm getting in any day now.
