I think that's seven but I'm not sure. I've been trying to find a complete list and I'm not finding one online.

OK, did some searching. The Seven Samurai were:

Kambei, the leader;
Katsuhiro, the kid;
Kyuzo, the master swordsman;
Shichiroji, Kambei's friend;
Heihachi, the funny guy (he was the one chopping wood);
Gorobei, the chubby one, I think;
and Kikuchiyo, the wild man/fake samurai.
