Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

No kidding, especially since then I'd be home. Happy Friday and here's hoping for a good day at work.

Heh. Why don't we just call it "Friday afternoon" and go back to bed? 'Cuz that would mean all of my post-TDY paperwork would have to be done on Monday. And that would compound the awfulness of Mondays.

Are the shoes getting looser? Try putting on an extra pair of socks next time to see if that helps. They shouldn't be getting looser! They're the same size I've always worn. But I may try the extra socks idea next time anyway and see what happens. They're only rubbing in the heel...maybe just need one of those grippy thingies that fit in the heel of a shoe.

The size *on* the shoes might be the same, but the lining and padding *in* the shoes might have started to go flat as they have been broken in. The grippy thingies or the extra socks might do the trick.

Heh...last place I worked, one of the guys became famous when he sang along and DANCED to Shania Twain's "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" at the company Christmas party. He NEVER lived that down.

They're almost new, so I'm hoping they ain't already breaking down!
But I used to have to put grippers in all my shoes...got a narrow heel, lucky me.
Luckily those are a lot cheaper than new shoes...

Also, Rosie's been doing South Beach...I bet she's lost some weight in her feet. That was one of the first places Steve and I noticed weight loss...feet, hands face and ehem, chest (thanks alot Dr. Atkins.)
Good morning everyone!! I'm so happy to see you all this morning! We finish our first week of school today! It went very smoothly! My tapes were perfectly done.

I guess it comes down to will this become the 'better emergency' in the future or can he continue to simply deal with it?Still mulling it over! The cat seems pretty unstressed about the whole decision!

How is your eye today? Feeling better?
I never wore a different sized shoe...but it's possible that for once in my life my heel wasn't as narrow, and now it's back to normal.

Seems all better...a bit sore last night, though.
Say, you might try putting your socks on wrong side out. If they are terry-cloth like on the inside, anyways. I know that always helped me when I got blisters running. I still do that for the jedis now and then when they get an irritated spot on their heal. (Pre-blister) Wear the smooth side up against your skin and the terrycloth part out. It was a trick I learned when I was training for the marathon. Really seemed to work.

Whatever you decide will be the best choice, I'm sure. You're a great pet owner! I wish all pet owners (like my neighbors) would put so much care and thought into their pets.
I really intend to get a poodle someday...ASG. I'm gonna get me a Beetle, a poodle and a pair of red chucks and that's all I want. :-)

That's funny, my PDA thinks that is not for 2 more days.
Anyway. Welcome to no longer being 'early twenties'. Here to a few more quarter centuries :)
