Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey! It ain't all that different than having to deal with puppies during housebreaking! *wicked grin*
Except for the size and stink of it, that is.

~crap~ - We're back where we started!
To: RMDupree
LOL! I guess for kids who don't know what it is yet, it's natural to paint with! They probably don't learn different until their parent walks in and they see the look on their face. . .

Thanks for the drink, ecurbh! I definitely needed that!

Hey! It ain't all that different than having to deal with puppies during housebreaking! *wicked grin* Oh yes it is! I am gonna guess you didn't just say a few cross words and toss her outside.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Well, it does if we sleep, but not if we ~sleep~. ;~D

LOL! Or at least have a few of the folks from MoveOn.org come over and help with the clean-up! ;-)

I wish someone had a camera and took a picture of my face when I walked into the room. It musta been priceless.

HA! I did say a few cross words, but I threw her in the tub instead of outside.
My mom came to the rescue once Becky ran to report what had happened. As I was bathing Aly, my mom told me that Alyson has done this to her a few times already. YUCK!

Of course, it all started with Magic: The Gathering, which I never played. But I always had the feeling that INWO pushed the boundaries of trading card gameplay...

Uh-oh, the Orca's going for Bo and I don't think he's a fan of "10". . .

...or better still... a photo of *her* in that condition to save for someday... say when she's a teenager and you need something to keep her in line... :-)

It's especially cheesy... since I'm not sure there's ever been a documented case of an orca attacking a person. Maybe, but we're basically not on their menu. The Viet Cong must not have gotten the memo. The Navy had a trained killer whale at Cam Rahn Bay. The trainers would work with the whale during the day, and let him patrol at night. It turns out the VC were so frightened of him, the Navy would not have even needed to train him. Just let the whale swim around the bay for his entire tour.
I think "Mail Call" did a segment about Navy marine mammals recently. They're fed top-grade seafood right from the best restaurant suppliers. I suppose they don't want the seals and dolphins to start foraging for food, so the trainers feed them the very best. They know they'll be served a good meal after work.

I never played that either. I need to catch up on things. . .I'm still using the original AD&D edition, too :)
To: 300winmag
Hah! Just the sight of that big black dorsal fin cutting the water would be something.
I'm guessing that orcas aren't normally in those waters, either.

We may come up on Sunday to visit. Pick up bumper stickers - did the pasture banner arrive?
To: 300winmag
Didn't John Kerry turn a boat around to rescue a drowning Viet Cong from a killer whale once? :)

There were several Mr Hankies in the crib and it's not even Christmas!
