Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

300, You just have no idea how many times I've almost given away my own knife just because I feel like they deserved and could utilize it more than I could! I've always been torn between the honor it is to have it and the desire to give it away! But you've come through for me when it came down to it and I haven't given it away...
Also, I got the address verification from Ashley this morning and will freepmail it to you in a sec...
I'm so glad to hear from her...

Braums. It's a regional company I think...
Blue Bunny is also good...but I'm not real picky and it's pretty cheap.
I've heard of a company called The Cold Stone or something like that...they're popping up all over and supposedly they have a low carb ice cream...

It's a great plan, especially since that is exactly what I have done, twice.

ROTFL!! Have you seen The Core? It's actually a pretty good movie!I've seen it and liked it...but why, did they use that term? I've heard for years, so maybe I just didn't notice.
I thought the main guy in that did a great job of acting.

I really like Kashi's cereals, too, or the few that I've tried - Go Lean and Good Friends. Haven't had 'em with milk, though, so I dunno how they'd taste that way. I have cereal with blueberries and yogurt at least a few days a week.
Go Lean has some sugars, though. They're things like honey that don't affect blood sugar as much or as quickly.

...I had a slice of pastrami in the fridge and a packet of Ramen on top of the microwave... Guess what I had for supper...
LOL!
I've had some interesting combinations at times. But then...I like experimenting, so I see it as a challenge...
There used to be a show on BBC called "Ready, Steady, Cook" that fascinated me. There were two teams, each comprised of one professional chef and one regular person. The regular contestant would bring a collection of food items with them - they had to spend less than thirty bucks or something close to that, but otherwise, they could be anything. And then each team had twenty minutes to decide what to make with their ingredients and to prepare a meal, and the audience would judge who did best. It was crazy and a lot of fun!
Gave me a lot of ideas for combinations I never woulda tried otherwise.

I don't know yet... my plan is, take one of the low-carb tortillas and fry it, just a bit, so it's less floppy but not crunchy. Add pepperoni and cheese and broil it; then slice it and pretend it's pizza. When I made the flatbread pizza, I spread it with olive oil and baked it for six or seven minutes, then put the toppings on and continued baking for maybe another ten minutes. That might work, too...
Or bake, then broil?

I'm pretty sure that's what it is, but of course I can't tell my doc that...you can't tell him anything. I was concerned I might be dreadfully anemic, but I had that checked and I wasn't dreadfully...just slightly which is not unusual in premenapausal women. He did put me on iron, which is fine with me, because I tolerate it well and it makes me have more energy.
But I also got this ridge in my large toenails and I bet you it's the diet change. But I think I am going to have to have my hair cut short till it grows back...it's just stringy and limp looking. I'm sure I've lost about 2/3rds of my hair.
It's vey unnerving. Whattaya bet it all grows back in grey? I'll go grey and it'll be like almost over night.

I'm also taking my supplements...including 800mg of Biotin, a nutrient essential for hair and nail growth. When it grows back in, it should be vey healthy!

I need to get my hair cut, too. It drives me crazy when it starts getting long.
